As President of D.R. Johnson & Associates, Dan led design/build projects throughout Alaska and the Pacific Northwest with a record of no on-the-job injuries, lawsuits, claims, or faulty artistry. Selected projects: the 20-story Anchorage Marriott Hotel (credited by the structural engineer of record as instrumental to its success); hangars, warehouses, and production facilities at Prudhoe Bay for ARCO and ERA Helicopters; pipeline and underwater piling work for BP Exploration; 55 miles of pipeline in Post Falls, Idaho; school renovations and military housing remodels; and environmental clean-up of Naval Petroleum Reserve #4 under USGS contract. Additional work for Exxon, Shell Oil, Standard Oil, and Carr-Gottstein Properties.
