I grew up in Pearl City, IL a small farming community west of Chicago and graduated with honors from Illinois State University with a BS degree in Environmental Health & Safety.  After college, I worked for Honeywell as a Safety Engineer-Specialist for 12 years, responsible for division-wide OSHA and EPA regulatory compliance at 13 manufacturing facilities located in IL, NC, TX, AZ and Mexico.  Working at a Fortune 100 company gave me tremendous exposure to a diverse workforce and exposure to all aspects of a highly successful, large organization.  I gained valuable insights to finance, sales, marketing and learned the skillful art of negotiation - ALL highly valuable tools that remain in my tool belt today!  This work experience ultimately shaped a long range goal to run my own business. 
Fast forward to San Jose, CA where I launched and managed a highly successful real estate investment business in 2004.  I teamed with six other like-minded women to buy run-down properties in the Bay Area at various stages of foreclosure.  Some houses were fixed and sold.  Others were fixed and held for rentals.  Together we improved communities by renovating unwanted houses that brought down property values.  We creatively financed our purchases using IRA money and other private funding sources.  Years of buying & selling houses with the team, running construction crews during rehabs and utilizing creative finance taught me many important lessons about customer service.  I knew how I wanted to be treated when it came to buying, fixing and selling investment houses.  AND I learned how others should be treated when it came to buying and selling their homes.  Most people only buy or sell a home every 7 years and it represents the biggest lifetime investment they'll ever make.  Without professional help the process can be daunting and time consuming as there are many moving parts to every real estate transaction.  Required disclosures, inspections, repairs, contractual deadlines and other legal hoops IF not done right can result in costly mistakes.
When we moved to WA I got my real estate license in order use my knowledge and experience to help others do it right; to help others buy & sell homes with confidence.  Whether you're looking to invest or simply looking to buy (or sell) your next home I'm passionate about helping you approach each transaction knowing you have an experienced leader at the helm.  Guiding people through the process for the best possible outcome is my passion and customer delight IS the cornerstone of my business!  
On a personal note, I love all things art, design and architecture.  Layout, design and final home staging is my forte.  I also love all music, gardening, and kitty-cats!  We are proud parents of one daughter, Meredith who remains in San Jose, CA.  Gordon's daughter April lives outside of Chicago, IL with her husband Jason.  I'm honored to be a dedicated member of the Kelly Right team in Spokane and grateful for the opportunity to hang my license with such a reputable firm.
